Privacy policy

Questions Before Closing sells fillable PDF briefs. We do not run user accounts, and we do not sell mailing lists. This page is how we handle the little information a purchase actually creates.

Who we are

This site is operated as a sole proprietorship doing business as Questions Before Closing. Questions: info@questionsbeforeclosing.com.

What we collect

When you pay, Stripe collects your name, email, card details, and whatever else Stripe needs to process the charge. Card numbers never touch our servers. After a successful payment we read your name and email from Stripe so the thanks page can greet you and so the download link can be tied to that order.

Your cart lives in your browser (local storage). A signed download token is stored in your browser session after checkout so you can get the PDFs on this device. We do not use that token to email you marketing.

Our host (Vercel) and Stripe keep the usual server and payment logs — things like IP address, time, and which page was requested — to run and secure the service.

If your browser allows it, a Meta pixel notes which pages you open and, if you buy, which brief and the amount. It does not receive your card number.

How we use it

We use this information to take payment, deliver the PDFs you bought, prevent fraud, and answer you if you write in. We also use the pixel to see which pages are viewed and which briefs are bought, so we can run and measure ads. We do not sell or rent this information.

Who else sees it

Stripe processes payments. Their privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy. Vercel hosts the site. Meta receives the pixel events. Their policy is at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

How long we keep it

Stripe keeps payment records as the law and their account rules require. Download tokens in your browser last for the session. We are not building a customer database on this site.

Your choices

You can clear your browser storage to remove the cart and download token. For a copy of what Stripe has on a charge, or to ask us to delete anything we can reasonably delete, email info@questionsbeforeclosing.com. We may still have to keep records Stripe or tax rules require.

Children

These briefs are for adults buying property. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date at the top of this page.
