Terms and refunds
Effective September 14, 2026
By buying a brief or using this site, you agree to these terms. If you do not, do not complete a purchase.
Who is selling
Questions Before Closing is operated as a sole proprietorship. The public name of the shop is Questions Before Closing. Contact: info@questionsbeforeclosing.com.
What you are buying
You are buying a license to download and use fillable PDF field notes for your own property decisions. That is not a license to resell the files, publish them, or drop them into a competing product. One purchase is for you (and the people on your deal — spouse, inspector, agent) — not for a firm-wide library.
Not professional advice
These guides are field notes. They are not a licensed inspection, a legal opinion, engineering advice, or a substitute for an attorney, inspector, or other professional. You are still responsible for your own due diligence. If you skip a professional because you bought a PDF, that is not on us.
Refunds
These are digital files delivered as soon as payment clears. Once the download is available, the sale is final. We cannot take a PDF back.
We will refund or replace an order if we charged you twice, if the file will not download or is unreadable, or if we sent the wrong brief. Email info@questionsbeforeclosing.com with the receipt. Do not open a Stripe dispute for a problem we can fix by sending the file again.
Payments
Card charges are processed by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.
If something goes wrong
To the fullest extent the law allows, Questions Before Closing is not liable for lost deals, repair costs, inspection misses, or other damages that come from using or not using these questions. If a court still finds us liable, that amount will not exceed what you paid for the brief at issue.
The site
We may change prices, copy, or which briefs are for sale. Content on the site is offered as-is. Links to Stripe or other services are their pages, not ours.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a piece of this page cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
Privacy
How we handle information is on the privacy policy.
